Assistant Professor Position in Computational Linguistics | Tilburg University
The Department of Communication and Cognition in the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences is looking for an enthusiastic new Assistant Professor in Computational Linguistics.
The candidate will teach courses and supervise bachelor and master theses related to computational linguistics, conversation interfaces, information technology, and its applications within the Communication and Information Sciences (CIS) program. Additionally, the candidate is expected to set up a new line of computational linguistics research, which will be part of the Tilburg Center for Cognition and Communication (TiCC).
The successful candidate has a PhD in computational linguistics, computer science, linguistics, artificial intelligence, communication and information science or a related field, and has published in international journals or conference proceedings. They have strong methodological, computational and statistical skills, acquired (or are willing to acquire) the University Teaching Qualification, and have the ability to communicate in English fluently and are able (or willing to learn) to communicate in Dutch.
Note: The department also has separate job vacancies for two tenure track positions in Cognition and Communication, as well as Assistant Professors in User Experience Design and Strategic Communication.
