Anéla, AVT and LOT cordially invite you to the Grote Taaldag (GTD)/Dutch Annual Linguistics Day (DALD) 2021. The day will take place online via Zoom on Friday January 29th and the deadline for registration is January 25th. You can find the programme @ https://osf.io/t2358/ and practical information for participants @ https://osf.io/4gynj/.
Here are the highlights:
We have a total of 49 talks divided over 5 rounds and up to 4 tracks. The first round starts at 9 o’clock. Next to ‘classical talks’, there will be many pecha kuchas to promote interaction with the audience.
Rather than a single keynote or two keynotes, we opted for a keynote discussion between Rebecca Clift (University of Essex) and Martina Wiltschko (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) on interaction in language. Mark Dingemanse (Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen) will moderate the discussion.
Dissertation Prize and Popularization Prize
Our host of the day is Marc van Oostendorp (Meertens Instituut/Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen). Marc will also release interviews with the shortlisted candidates of the Anéla/AVT dissertation prize and the LOT popularization prize in the days leading up to the GTD/DALD. The winners of these prizes will be announced during the Taalgala that starts at 16.30 and closes the GTD/DALD. Expected end time is 17.15.
Participation is free for members of Anéla and AVT and for BA and MA students. For working non-members, we charge a small fee of 5 euros.
All participants are asked to register @ https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/avt/dutch-annual-linguistics-day. Without registration you will regretfully not be able to access the Zoom sessions.
