Challenges, Opportunities and Future Directions
The Leiden University Centre for Linguistics (LUCL, The Netherlands) and the Heritage Linguistics Lab (HerLing) cordially invite you to join for the first segment of our LUCL Language Policy Virtual Research Seminars on Language Policy and Practices in the Global North and South. Drawing on situated case studies from Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and Latin America, this seminar series aims to engage critically with contemporary debates around language policy and literacy practices around the world, thereby creating a dialogue towards the future directions of the field in a post-pandemic scenario. We have an exciting line up of invited speakers who are recognised academics in the field. The seminar series will take place on Wednesdays between 21/04/21 to 23/06/21 (Time Zone is CET). Each session will last around 90 mins where there will be plenty of opportunities to interact with the speaker. The seminars are open to all researchers as well as master’s and doctoral students with an interest in language policy. The programme can be found here.
The registration link can be found here. A valid zoom account will be required for registration. After registering, the attendees will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. If you have any questions, please write to Dr. A. Nandi.
