The Leiden Summer School in Languages and Linguistics is a two-week event offering a varied programme of specialised courses in descriptive linguistics, as well as a number of introductory linguistic courses. RM students can gain 5 LOT credits by participating in the Leiden Summer School in Languages and Linguistics, which are accounted for by means of a LOT certificate. The fee is covered by LOT. For travel and accommodation costs the same rules apply as for the LOT Summer and Winter Schools. Note that the credits acquired in this way replace the credits students would otherwise acquire in RM2 courses in the LOT Summerschool. Taking the RM1 courses in the LOT Winterschool remains an obligation.
