The Leiden Summer School in Languages and Linguistics (LLL) is a two-week event offering a varied programme of specialised courses in descriptive linguistics, as well as a number of introductory linguistic courses.
RM students can gain 5 LOT credits by participating in the LLL, which are accounted for by means of a LOT certificate.
The following conditions apply:
- RM students take courses at the LLL instead of at the LOT Summer School. It is not possible to combine taking courses at both the LLL and LOT Summer School for LOT credits.
- RM students take two or three different courses at the LLL . Two courses at the LLL will be converted into 3 LOT credits; three courses into 5 LOT credits.
It is not possible to gain LOT credits by writing a paper at the LLL.
- Taking the RM1 courses in the LOT Winter School remains an obligation.
The fee for LLL is covered by LOT. For travel and accommodation costs the same rules apply as for the LOT Summer and Winter Schools.
