LOT unites about 400 faculty members and 300 PhD and RMa students and provides a meeting point to further national and international communication for the benefit of linguistic research and education. Researchers from the participating institutes share knowledge, work together on theoretical and methodological matters, discuss their data and research in seminars and lecture series and in collaborations of various other kinds.

PhD position

PhD Vacancies at Maastricht University

The Maastricht University is hiring several PhD candidates. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement.

Guest Lecture Meertens Institute | Dr Meredith Tamminga

Dr Meredith Tamminga, assistant professor of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania, will give a lecture at the Meertens Instituut on Monday 1 July at 14.00 .

Pommers Werpt Nieuw Licht op West-Germaanse Taalfamilie

Het Pommers werd vroeger gesproken aan de zuidelijke kust van de Oostzee, en kwam via emigranten in Brazilië terecht. Postma schreef een grammatica van het Pommers, die nieuw licht werpt op onze kennis van het West-Germaans.
