300 PhD & RMa students

LOT unites about 400 faculty members and 300 PhD and RMa students and provides a meeting point to further national and international communication for the benefit of linguistic research and education. Researchers from the participating institutes share knowledge, work together on theoretical and methodological matters, discuss their data and research in seminars and lecture series and in collaborations of various other kinds.

ECA Summer School on Argumentation

The ECA summer school on argumentation will be held from 20 to 22 June 2019 at Leiden University, the Netherlands. Four professors will present cutting-edge research in argumentation theory from different theoretical angles. Students can apply for a bursary in order to have (part of) their costs compensated.


Workshop on Bilingual Language Development

A workshop on the topic of language development in bilingual children, addressing issues such as how best to measure bilingual children’s language proficiency, the relationship between language proficiency and language experience, and how, when and why a bilingual child’s two languages influence each other.
