In light of the COVID-19 virus, LOT has decided to host the upcoming Summer School in an online setting. We are currently working hard to accommodate this change and therefore ask for your patience.
Regretfully, EMLAR XVI 2020 has been cancelled because of the (inter)national developments with regards to the COVID-19 virus.
The LOT Summer School 2020 will take place at Leiden University from 15 to 26 June. Registration will open in late March 2020.

LOT affiliated Research Master and PhD students (both internal and external) can apply for reimbursement of travel costs to take part in EMLAR.
Registration for the Experimental Methods in Language Acquisition Research (EMLAR) 2020 workshop is now open. The workshop will feature inspiring talks, tutorials, poster sessions, and a tutorial dinner on Thursday. Registration is open until 04/04/2020.
The jury of the LOT Populariseringsprijs 2019, consisting of Mathilde Jansen (chair, Meertens/NEMO Kennislink), Folkert Kuiken (UvA), and Mark de Vries (RUG), has evaluated a large number of submissions and has nominated three projects for the prize.
In honour of Henk Schultink, every LOT school organises a Schultink lecture. We are happy to announce that this LOT School’s invited lecturer is Theo Marinis, Professor of Multilingualism at the University of Konstanz and at the University of Reading. The lecture will take place on 16 January, 16:30 – 17:30 at Tilburg University.
LOT would like to announce that the compensation for accommodation costs during the LOT schools has been increased to 100 euros per week of participation.
De Landelijke Onderzoekschool Taalwetenschap looft dit jaar wederom de Populariseringsprijs uit, ter stimulering van het ondernemen van populair-wetenschappelijke activiteiten over een taalwetenschappelijk onderwerp. De definitie van in aanmerking komende activiteiten is uitermate ruim.

The LOT Summer School 2019 will take place at Utrecht University from 1 to 12 July. Registration opens in April 2019.
EMLAR 2019 will take place from April 16th until April 18th at the University of Utrecht. Registration is possible until March 31st.
The LOT Winter School 2019 is organized by LOT in collaboration with the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
