LOT Education Programme
Over the last year LOT has decided on a number of changes in its education programme, which have effects in particular for RMA students, who take courses for LOT credits that are part of the requirements of their local programmes. So far RMA students could acquire LOT credits by
– attending courses within the LOT Summer and Winter Schools; and/or
– by participating in EMLAR, the annual specialised conference on experimental methods in language acquisition research offered by UiL/OTS, the linguistics research institute of Utrecht University.
There are now two further options to earn LOT credits, by
– participating in the Leiden Summer School in Languages and Linguistics, an annual summerschool offered by LUCL, the linguistics research institute of Leiden University. Students accrue 5 credits by taking three courses from the school’s programme.
– participating in the LOT Lab Rotations, a programme set up between LOT institutes to allow students to acquire research experience at a linguistics research institute of a university other than their own. Students may gain a maximum of 5 credits within this program. The start of this programme depends on when the travel conditions in the country return to normal.
