Workshop | Digital Challenges for small languages

Digital challenges for small languages is a 2-day workshop held in Maastricht University, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS). The workshop gives a platform to researchers and students involved in small, minoritized, or low-resource languages and how they access the digital domain. We welcome papers and participants involved in the following topics that intersect with small languages, minoritized languages, or low-resource languages and dialects:
- Digital Humanities
- Natural Language Processing
- Explainable Artificial Intelligence, including fair and trustworthy AI
- Sociolinguistics
- Theoretical, computational, or corpus linguistics
- Network science
- Language revitalization, decolonization, and preservation of digital heritage
